Uber, the internationally recognised online transportation company, launched their service in Cardiff on the 22nd of April. How does Uber differ from a standard taxi or private hire vehicle?

Uber was formed back in 2009 when their founders, Travis and Garret, were stuck in Paris and had real difficulties in finding a cab; flash forward 7 years and their idea of an app that brings a vehicle to you has transformed into a service that now serves around 474 cities worldwide! But how is Uber different? Well, for a start, the whole experience is done via a mobile application and you simply drop a pin at your destination, your location is already picked up by the app and you are then allocated their closest driver. Once you have reached your destination, an invoice will be sent to your email address and the amount for the journey is debited from the account you signed up with – simple!

How can I take advantage of this great offer?

Simply head over to Uber, sign up and our unique promo code – airportguides, should appear automatically in the Promo Code section!  The promotion will run until June 2017, so you have a while to make use of the offer, don’t panic!

*This offer is not limited to use in Cardiff alone and can be used in the following cities/airports:

  •  London (Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, Stansted, Luton)
  • Southampton
  • Bristol
  • Manchester
  • Liverpool
  • Leeds
  • Sheffield (Robin Hood Airport)
  • Newcastle/Durham Tees Valley
  • Birmingham
  • East Midlands

IMPORTANT – This offer can only be used on your first Uber ride, after which, your £15 balance will be wiped.
